Description
15th Anniversary Deluxe Limited Edition of Mastodon's fourth studio album, Crack the Skye, on 2CD + Blu-ray. Disc 1 is the original album remastered while Disc 2, Crack the Skye: The Score, features instrumental versions of each track.

The Blu-ray disc includes Crack the Skye: 10th Anniversary Animations, Crack the Skye: The Movie & The Making of Crack the Skye.

The box also includes a Mastodon sheet of stamps and 24-page booklet. Originally released in March 2009, the album features "Oblivion", "Divinations" "The Last Baron" and more.

Interested to see what this consists of. I can't believe this album is 15 years old - this is the tour I discovered them on, in IP's backyard at the Electric Factory in Philly. They were on a bill w/Dethklok, In Flames, and High On Fire.

Another update to say I've added a packshot for the box set to the opening post.

At first glance I saw 11 tracks and initially thought there was going to be 4 unreleased songs. Then I looked closer and saw the listing has The Czar and it's four parts all listed as separate songs.

There is also a $90 deluxe set. No CDs, but a 2 LP vinyl set (smoky grey vinyl) + the Blu-ray + 12 x 12 12-page book, 24 x 24 poster, 10 x 10 sheet of four magnets.

The original mastering of this album was not good. Great songs and performances, but the CD is harsh and loud. If they do this remaster properly, a full dynamic remaster, there is a decent chance that I will pick up the 2 CD + Blu version.
