Description
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of R.E.M.’s eleventh studio album, Up. This deluxe 2-CD/1-Blu-ray set includes the remastered album and a never-before-released 11-track live performance from the band’s ‘99 taping for the TV series Party of Five. Additionally, the Blu-ray features Up in Hi-Res and 5.1 Surround Sound audio, performance footage, the original EPK, plus HD-restored music videos including “At My Most Beautiful,” “Daysleeper,” and “Lotus.”

Housed in a 32-page hardcover book, the collection includes new liner notes from journalist Josh Modell and reflections from the band.

Not sure if I'm going to get this, but revisited Up today to find it holds up really well for me.

Indeed. I prefer the first half, but it was a nice surprise at the time.

- love this album
- agree that the meat on this box is thin
- still interested due to the bluray and Party of Five concert
- will not pay the price it’s currently going for though

Really?

Why not include the MTV concert they did to promote the album when it came out in 1998 (I still have my recording) or at the very least some outtakes or demos?

The footage would likely have required additional processing for Blu-ray... as it is, the MTV Uplink set was previously included in the 2014 REMTV compilation.
