Sorry, I am a little confused by the description - I think the first 11 tracks are 1968 vintage mono mixes, while the remaining "Lonesome Version" mixes are new (and presumably a cappella, or just Gram and solo accompaniment)?

Bizarre remixes if this is correct. I'm a big fan of Gram Parsons. I have this on CD. They should have simply remixed the album to improve the sound of the overall tracks.

I received this today. It's a weird one. The first few tracks sound like needle drops, but not the entire original album. And the "lonesome version"s sound like a mix of tracks taken from the original tapes (with studio chatter, count-ins, etc.), digitally extracted isolated instruments/vocals, and tracks that still have traces of other instruments and vocals way back in the mix. You certainly get a chance to hear Gram's vocals front and center compared to the original mono mix. This is the first time I've owned the album, and I'm glad to get it. Strange release, though.
