The above box set is on tap for the 2019 holiday season, as mentioned in this Rolling Stone article about the "Heart Of Glass" EP that's coming out for the 2018 holiday season:

The Blondie vaults have been pretty thoroughly emptied during several previous reissue campaigns. I'll be (pleasantly) surprised if there's anything new here.

Isn't this coming on the Numero Group Label? Numero Group announced yesterday that they have acquired rights to the Blondie catalog and will release BLONDIE: The Complete Studio Recordings 1975-1982 in the fall of 2019.

I'm not interested in Blondie's complete works, but a newly (and nicely) remastered, chronological, comprehensive, non-edited-versions, anthology would be sweet!

Thanks! I guess that answers my question. Sounds like they may have put the cart before the horse a little bit.

That creates a bit of a conundrum for me. Blondie was a group I listened to, and loved, as a kid but, for whatever reason, I never collected them. That's why I was looking forward to this box set. I could get it all in one shot. Should I wait to see if it comes out or should I just pick up each remastered album with bonus tracks now?

Blondie have announced a 2021 UK tour to accompany the release of their first ever authorised archival boxset, entitled Blondie 1974-1982: Against The Odds.
Blondie will be supported on the November 2021 tour by Garbage. Tickets go on general sale on Friday (October 23) at 10am, although there are various pre-sales in operation – visit the official Blondie site for details. Tourdates below:

Work on the box set has finally been completed, and its release is now pencilled in for August 26th of this year. The Amazon pre-order links in the first post are not yet active, but we have a packshot WAN can admire in the meantime.

There's also going to be a humbler 3CD distillation, now also linked in the first post (and also not pre-orderable yet). It will look like this:
These sets will have Chrysalis-branded labels to match the vintage Blondie releases, but they're actually being released through Capitol/Universal. Chrysalis (which is an independent label nowadays) has been very good about allowing the use of their branding for other companies' vault releases in recent years, not only these by Blondie but also Steven Wilson's Jethro Tull boxes and others.
