Didn't see this mentioned anywhere.

Looks like an outstanding comp including some versions that haven't been on CD before spanning the band's whole career.

Not sure what would be missing or how many of these versions have been available before.

Let me know how this is, if anybody gets it.

I’d like to get it when I can afford it.

Wow that’s something else!

Btw….what’s your favorite Manfred Mann song? They do awesome covers of Springsteen but I’ve always loved “Questions”. Though it’s not a Springsteen song, it has his vibe in some of the lyrics.

They answered my questions with questions
And pointed me into the night
Where the moon was a star-painted dancer
And the world was just a spectrum of light

They reached to my center of reason
And pulled on the touchstone that's there
The shock of that light had me reeling
And I fell into the depths of despair

Maybe not a favorite, but recently I discovered Don't Kill It Carol and became obsessed with it.

I love "Don't Kill it Carol" and from the same LP their killer version of Dylan's "You Angel You".

I interviewed their guitar player Dave Flett for my book and we talked about some of his great solos and songs like “Questions”, “California”, “Chicago Institute” and of course “Blinded By the Light.”

He even told me there’s a very audible dropout on the solo where he switched pedals and they left it in because the take was so good (and you can definitely hear it).

I think “California”, “For You”, “Runner”, “Joybringer”, “You Angel You” and “Chicago Institute” are among my favorites.
