If this sounds anything like the mono mini-box released in the late-'90s, it will be worth the price for anyone who hasn't experienced this album in mono. It's been my go-to copy for more than 20 years.

This sounds far better than the mini box, as does the 3 CD reissue that came out in 2007 and includes the mono mix, stereo mix, and relevant non-LP singles that came out at the time. The mini box was sourced from a poor tape and not very well mastered.

Unfortunately the 3 CD set is out of print and pricey on Amazon. If you can find a copy at a reasonable price I really recommend it. It's my go-to.

I got the RSD version of the vinyl a couple of years back and it is superb.

I got my mono vinyl today and it sounds fantastic. Not sure I'll do an A/B comparison with my mini CD box from the '90s, but playing it on my stereo with killer speakers, it never sounded better.
