Another fairly lackluster set list. A few different songs, but this was the period when they were crowing that with Ace & Peter gone, they could play songs that they couldn't with them. "Could", not "would", apparently. I see two songs that they probably couldn't play w/Ace & Peter. Interesting twist with "Love Gun" as the opener.
I'll end up getting it, especially in the hopes that it helps keep this series rolling. But I'm hoping for more older shows.
Actually, this was a great tour.
The set changed a lot, and you have to remember at this time songs like “Christine Sixteen”, “Lick it Up”, “War Machine”, “Got to Choose”, “Makin’ Love”, “She”, “Tears Are Falling” and “God Gave Rock and Roll to You II” were quite rare (some of those still are).
The show we saw also had songs like “Love Her All I Can”, “Unholy” and “Parasite.”
This was one of my favorite tours and it’s at a time where they caught a lot of crap for carrying on, and venues were usually half-filled.
We were about to buy lawn seats and a guy came up to us begging us to buy tickets from him at lawn prices because so many friends bailed on him.
We got 3rd row seats from the stage for $20 each.
