Description
Stone Temple Pilots embraced experimentation and open-mindedness to record the band's third album, 1996's 'Tiny Music... Songs From The Vatican Gift Shop'. Released on 26th March 1996, the album is a pitch-perfect amalgamation of the band members' musical personalities, yielding three US #1 hits - 'Big Bang Baby', 'Lady Picture Show', and 'Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart'. This super deluxe edition includes a remastered version of the original studio album on both CD and 180g black vinyl, plus unreleased versions of early versions, instrumentals, and alternate takes along with a complete concert recording from 1997.

Usually I don't comment on things I don't like, but if I actually spent money on it then all is fair game. Awful, awful, awful record. Got this off the strength of the first two records and...what a mistake. Has to be one of the five worst albums I've ever bought. So bad I never gave this band a chance after this disaster.

This is my favorite STP album.

I saw this tour in Philly in Thanksgiving Eve 1996 shortly before Weiland’s drug issues forced the tour to be scrapped.

It was an awesome show.

I’m glad to see they are continuing the series with this one.

My CD just shipped from Arizona today so it's on track to get here on Friday. Hope it sounds good because a year or so ago I tried it out from the library and really liked the album itself, but couldn't stand the mushy low sound quality of it, so hopefully they beefed up the sound and made it sound great.

Yep it's definitely a good remaster. Except for the occasional vocal from Scott the mushiness is all but gone and the volume problem has definitely been fixed too. The majority of the songs come screaming out of the speakers which is a good thing, so I'm definitely getting more enjoyment out of the album in general. It's still not as good as Purple in my opinion, but the remaster certainly makes the album shine better than it ever had before.

Received mine today and can't wait to hear that live disc!
