In March 1984, Marillion released their second studio album 'Fugazi', which went on to be certified Gold and reach number 5 in the UK Albums Chart. The classic album spawned two singles, 'Assassing' and 'Punch & Judy', both reaching #22 and #29 on the UK Singles Chart, respectively. 'Fugazi' is celebrated here with a 3CD/Blu-ray book, featuring 2021 remixed stereo versions by Andy Bradfield and Avril Mackintosh, who also remixed the deluxe editions of 'Script for a Jester's Tear' and 'Clutching at Straws'. It also includes a show from The Spectrum, Montreal, Canada, recorded in 1984. The performance includes fan favourites from both 'Fugazi' and the band's debut album 'Script for a Jester's Tear' in the form of tracks such as 'Jigsaw', 'Incubus', 'He Knows You Know', 'Chelsea Monday', and much more. It also features a performance of the B-side 'Charting the Single'. The Blu-ray also contains a compelling look at the fascinating story behind 'Fugazi' in a documentary entitled 'The Performance Has Just Begun', which features all the band members talking about how the album came to fruition. This is followed by the band giving an insightful track-by-track commentary of the album, as well as the music video of 'Assassing' with both the original and remix audio. The Blu-ray also features 96k/24-bit versions of both the 2021 'Fugazi' stereo remix and the 'Live at The Spectrum, Montreal, Canada' concert and a 5.1 surround sound version of the 2021 stereo remix of 'Fugazi'.

Yes, there is a new mix of the album, as well as a 5.1 mix for the BD. If the pattern of previous reissues holds, the new album mix should eventually be separately released as a single CD.

I got this box set earlier this week and have listened to/watched everything on the blu-ray. Another fantastic set in this series. The surround sound mix of the album is really enjoyable, the live show (also on CDs 2 & 3) is great, and I loved the band interviews (sadly all done remotely for obvious reasons, as they took place in 2020). Didn't realize in advance that there was live TV footage from the Fugazi tour which is about 45 minutes long, so that was a pleasant surprise.

Now I semi-patiently wait for the first two Hogarth-era albums to receive the same treatment.
