Description
Originally formed by producer Steve Barri and singer songwriter P.F. Sloan, The Grass Roots became a popular hit act in the US for nearly a decade and, to this day, are still gigging (Covid permitting) in Oldies shows.

These four albums date from 1965, 1967, 1968 and 1969, all recorded for Dunhill Records.

This package features the hit 45s ‘Where For Today’, ‘Lovin’ Things’ and ‘The River Is Wide’.

Digitally remastered and slipcased, and with extensive new notes.

Product description says Midnight Confessions is included in the package, but, for the life of me, I'm not seeing it on the track listing...(?)

Good catch. "Midnight Confessions" was originally a non-album single, so unless the description is referring to a bonus track, it's a mistake on BGO's part.

Let's leave the description and tracklist as is, and we'll see if either changes as we get closer to the release date.

We need a Grass Roots Complete Dunhill/ABC/Haven box set 1965-1976, kinda like the Steppenwolf box.
Three Dog Night needs one as well...
Hello Esoteric / Cherry Red Records...

i think that both (grass roots and three dog night) of the 2 CD sets you wish for already exist.

Planning to pick up this fourfer and emailed BGO about 'Midnight Confessions'. Here's the response:

Quote:
Midnight Confessions is not on these 4 LPs and was mentioned in enthusiastic error on the website - now removed.

We intend to do three more LPs and include singles A‘S & B’s – so Midnight Confessions will appear on this later release.

Excellent gnus, thanks !! I would expect these to be the next 3 Dunhill LP's =
--Leaving It All Behind 1969
--Move Along 1972
--Alotta Mileage 1973

And I hope the A's and B's are the stereo versions !! (as Real Gone has already released the mono versions)

This has been pushed back to April 8th. I've updated the first post with the label's current description (no longer including "Midnight Confessions").
