A total of 159 newly remixed tracks will be on this box set, including everything recorded for the twin Plastic Ono Band albums by John and Yoko. Other configurations will be available too.

The book was originally intended as a companion piece to the box set, but COVID-19 considerations delayed the box to 2021.

Yuk! I'm wondering if Sean plans to do other John and Yoko box sets in which his mother's work will have to be included with his father's because of course, we know who the real talent in the family is.

Hopefully one of the other configurations will be one of only John's songs.

By my count there are 23 tracks (and bonus tracks) between the two released POB albums, so that would leave 136 unreleased tracks! I'm guessing it will have the Live Peace In Toronto material, and then there would still be a ton more content. I'm in!

I don't mind the Ono tracks. I think she's actually pretty interesting as an artist, though I doubt if I would listen to her material more than a time or two. The beauty of the era we live in is that we can program our music however we like when we listen.

It would be great if we could program out her ahem, "vocals" and listen only the instrumentation which is quite good.

To counter the sad (but predictable) Yoko-bashing, I am excited to hear both artists represented in this set. Yoko's Plastic Ono Band album is a great companion piece to John's album, and is one I still listen to frequently.

Every definition that I've ever seen of "bash" refers to a hard hit or some similar violent act. I hardly think that my not liking her "music" and disagreeing with you about it come close to a violent act.

"Every" definition? I easily found a definition that read "strong criticism of a particular type of person or thing."

Well, I'm glad that you found a definition that matches what you were looking for. Seek and ye shall find. I'm glad that my criticism and dislike of Yoko's noise doesn't negatively impact on your enjoyment of it.

This might not be the best time to mention to Larry that I want "Cold Turkey", "Give Peace A Chance" and "Instant Karma" to be put into the middle of the album.

If they replace three Yoko "songs", it would a real plus for this release. It would be very advantageous to the consumer to have such a change.

I suspect (nothing has been confirmed yet) that there will be separate-but-expanded editions of the John and Yoko POB albums, in which case you could go that route. The big box has to have everything, though. And with 159 tracks there will be more than enough extras to make it enticing for John fans or Yoko fans, even if they can't stand the other one.

And even more beautiful is the fact that I'll swipe this from you and cherry pick it for the Lennon tracks.

The official announcement is coming in early March, so we should expect a spring release of the box set. It's supposed to contain six CDs, two Blu-rays and a book. (Yes, a hi-res surround mix. ) Here's a tentative list of bonus tracks:
