Sony has announced a February 26, 2021 general release of this. It's about time that they did that. I wonder if Universal had anything to do with this.

It's actually better than the previous 2 CD set from the same sessions. I was pleasantly surprised.
What previous set is that?
I think he's referring to the Bootleg Series with Johnny Cash that came out last year called Travelin' Thru.
Oh, I was confused because I didn't think the two sets came from the same sessions. I thought Travellin' Thru" had material from 67-69 and "Bob Dylan-1970" came from, well, 1970. Either way, they should both be great sets!

Technically you're right but they do have a similar feel to them, very country-influenced. And I think some of those Travelin' Thru sessions carry over into 1970, particularly the ones with Lester Flatt.
And, I'm with you. I'm a fan of the late-60s sounds of everything from Glen Campbell to Joe South to Waylon Jennings to the Flying Burrito Brothers, I loved Travelin' Thru and I'm looking forward to this one as well.

Apologies I couldn't think of the name. Actually there are 2 box sets already from those sessions. The other one is Another Self Portrait. He recorded so much in 1969 to 1971 amazing how much is still being released. I hope for another box from 1971 to 1974 my favourite Dylan period

I've always had a soft spot for Self Portrait, and the box was a wonderful treat for me.

I think the "Self-Portrait" sessions, if not the album, have been redeemed by allowing us to hear this music as it sounded in the moment, played by musicians working off of one another, rather than overdubbed, corrected and sterilized with 1970 audio technology in mind. I was wondering if maybe this was a Columbia thing, as I had a similar experience hearing the Big Brother & The Holding Company "Sex, Dope and Cheap Thrills" comp a couple of years ago.
