correct me if i am wrong, please.
spandau ballet = one-hit wonder
and not even the album version of the one-hit.......i think there was easily room for both.

They had 23 charting singles in Britain, and a similar amount throughout Europe. You are correct that they were a one hit wonder in the U.S (though they did have 4 charting singles, the other three did not get close to top ten). edit: As an aside, I hate "True".

It's not all about the US charts Renny. They had multiple top 10 singles in the UK.

It's funny because I was going to say that Chant No. 1 and To Cut a Long Story Short were hits. But then I remembered I grew up on KROQ and realized they were just were just hits for their listeners

On our honeymoon cruise in 1983, she had only one request of the ship's DJ: "Please play 'Lifeline'!" He did

MuchMusic, the MTV of Canada, played many of those British bands in the early 80s.
