Description
To mark the 50th Anniversary of the originally released 1970 double album ‘Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs’ the original album will be released as a 2CD Deluxe Edition, as well as a 4LP Vinyl Edition thas been given the Half-Speed Mastered treatment by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios complete with authentication certificate. The Vinyl Edition includes the exclusive bonus track "High" taken from the April/May 1971 sessions for the Dominos' second album).

Layla has often been regarded as Eric Clapton’s greatest musical achievement. The album is more notably known for its title track ‘Layla’ which had top ten single chart success in the UK.

I apologize if this has been posted already, but I searched and couldn't find it.

Looks like 4 LPs, with 2 of the LPs having bonus tracks and just 2 CDs, perhaps no bonus tracks.

This album has been done to death with reissues and I don't even like the album, but for those who are curious, here it is again...

Interesting. In 2011 there was a release with 4 CDs and 2 LPs and a DVD. The CDs included an extended 2-CD version of the original album and 2 CDs of their "In Concert" release. This sounds like it might be an LP release of the extended 2 CD version along with (maybe) the existing extended CD.

I've seen the track list. I don't know if anything on this on hasn't been out before. It's a pretty pointless re-release.

I don't own it, so maybe it isn't pointless. I may drop some cash for it depending on the track list.

Multiple sites have this tracklist. Most (all?) previous 2-CD editions (mine is the 2011 US 'deluxe edition) have all these tracks, except for the song "High". A little research uncovers that tune (instrumental) was released in 2018 on "Eric Clapton: Life in 12 Bars".

I'm hoping that the 60th anniversary edition will have "Layla" take 1 as well as many other take 1s on it.

You'll have to wait for the 70th anniversary edition for that.

Pre-order details are now in the first post. There are two seperate configurations -- a 2CD set and a 4LP vinyl set. The vinyl version contains one extra track, "High", which will not be included on the 2CD set. As Robin noted, "High" has already appeared on CD as part of Life In 12 Bars:

I'd like to know if the two Spector produced tracks will be the original mixes that were released as a 45 or the remixes that began appearing with the Crossroads box.
