I hope the Dio hologram is getting a cut of the royalties from these releases.

Kind of annoying not to include the Japanese bonus track ‘“God Hates Heavy Metal” on the “Angry Machines” reissue.

I’ve never been much of a fan of either album but I decided to pick up Angry Machines and Magica. Both albums are much better than I remembered and the remastering is excellent. The hardbound cases and the pages and photos in the booklet are beautiful. These are first rate and I highly recommend them to any Dio fan. I will be picking up the other two when I have more money, whenever that is.

Magica is a quality record, but the problem is that is starts out with too many slower/mid-tempo tracks and seems to grind to a halt before it ever gets started. As Long As It's Not About Love and Losing My Insanity are both top notch Dio songs, I just fear that a lot of people never got that deep into the record because it starts out so slow.

I finished listening to all of these and the sound quality is so good. The packaging is stunning. The live tracks are all professionally recorded and sound good, but some are soundboard quality and a little lesser in quality. What’s amazing is that of these albums only Killing the Dragon ever charted, and just barely. These remasters sold so well that all four albums charted on Billboard, three of them for the first time ever. Ronnie must be smiling up there.
