In 2017, Blue Oyster Cult celebrated their 45th Anniversary with a run of festival and headline dates across the UK and Europe. The band's appearance in London at the O2 INDIGO at the Stone Free Festival on June 17th started with a unique performance of BOC's first album in its entirety, a celebration of the 45th anniversary of its release.

In addition, the band added some classic and very special songs to the set. The full show was recorded and videotaped in 4K UHD. This another one of a kind archival release which fans cannot miss!

The Blu-ray link listed in the opening post is the domestic listing at the domestic price, and is safe to pre-order. (The "Region B/2" notation is an error.)

I'm in on this, too. I've enjoyed the last couple BluRay's so far. Cleveland was absolutely killer. Agents was good, but not quite as good. I think it had to do with hardly no audience. At least this one has 200 people. :giggle:

I never could get into BOC's first three albums. It's probably because I came in at Enchanted and continued on with Mirror's and subsequent albums. I guess the best I can get into old BOC is their first live album. Each to his own though. Many swear by the old stuff and dislike anything after Agents.

Either way, it's BOC. Hearing the first album is still a treat.

Now.... if we could get A Long Day's Night on BluRay as they said they were going to do, I'll be totally satisfied. I just hope when (and if) that one comes out that the CD will have the complete show. If I remember right, 7 songs were cut from it to make it a single disc release.

I wish they'd go back a little further to the early days if there are any more shows in the vault.

Geff all that stuff is being posted to their YouTube Channel. They’ve been putting new stuff up every Wednesday I believe. Complete shows from the 90s, 16mm and 8mm footage from the 70s.
