A long-overdue reissue of what was arguably the last Marshall Crenshaw album that actually sounded like Marshall Crenshaw. This new edition has retooled artwork and a resequenced tracklist with three bonuses, as well as the fixed version of Marshall's stellar (I would say superior) cover of Grant Hart's "Twenty-Five Forty-One". Marshall originally copied the song by ear and got some of the lyrics wrong -- the corrected recording appeared only on the original Japanese pressing of the album -- but now it's here where it belongs.

EXCELLENT! I'm in!

Really? While Jaggedland never really landed for me, I thought #447 and What's In The Bag were both really strong and worthy additions to his catalog. And I still like his cover of Take Me With U WAY better than Prince's original.

I have everything he's ever released, and prefer pretty much all his cover versions to the originals. But my favourite Crenshaw style is the super-melodic retro pop that he got away from after Miracle Of Science.

See, and I don't think he got away from it.

One of his best. I'm in on this. His rendition of "Twenty-Five Forty-One" is one of the best power-pop tracks ever.

It had been a while since I listened to this album. I played it today. What a gem. It might even be my favorite Marshall Crenshaw album.
