I was going to preorder this from the Supergrass website since the price is $202.95 (very reasonable for what you get), but shipping to the US is over $67. Hopefully it shows up on Amazon (US or UK) for a similar price with normal shipping costs.

This box set is now listed at Amazon UK. At current exchange rates it would cost about $210 total for US residents. I'll probably preorder it and if it shows up cheaper on the US store before the January release date I'll cancel the UK order.

A reliable source close to the band told me that BMG is planning to release this in the U.S. so I decided to hold off preordering it from the UK. Hopefully the listing shows up at Amazon US soon.

The set is an import so I am not banking on the domestic Amazons to be any cheaper than the prices with shipping now on the various European Amazon sites. Of course we then have to worry about the increased chance of damage with overseas shipping. Hoping Amazon.ca is competitive.

Great music on this release and I can't wait to look at the picture discs.

Almost tempted on price alone. I'm a fan of these guys, but i already have all i need. This looks like a great deal for Supergrass Superfans. I wish other bands would offer so much fun at this type of value. (I'm looking at YOU David Gilmour!)

I know what you mean. Supposedly vinyl picture discs are better sounding these days than the ones that came out in the 80's but I'm not willing to test that theory.

New vinyl picture discs definitely sound much better than the ones in the 70s and 80s. I hear no difference between them and regular vinyl LPs. After I had played a couple of the ones in the early days I stopped trying to play them because I was worried they were going to rip the tip off the turntable's stylus. I have about ten of the recent ones and they are fine.

Mine is on the way from Europe, hope it does not take too long and arrives in decent condition. Please be double boxed.

My box set arrived yesterday. Haven't had a chance to dig in yet but it's put together very nicely and the picture discs look beautiful. I was hoping they would be in some kind of static-free sleeves but I understand why they used clear plastic sleeves. Can't wait to give them a spin and check out all of the bonus material on the CDs.
