Jefferson Airplane was an American psychedelic rock band from San Francisco, CA. During the late 1960s, the band (along with The Grateful Dead) epitomised San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury culture. This album brought to you at mid-price is a recording of the band's concerts at New York's Fillmore East, from November 1969. The band started out in 1965 when singer Marty Balin met guitarist Paul Kantner. They began as a folk-rock group, adding lead guitarist Jorma Kaukonen, drummer Alexander Spence, singer Signe Anderson, and bassist Bob Harvey, who was soon replaced by Jack Casady. Anderson left to have a baby and was replaced by Grace Slick, and Spence left to form Moby Grape and was replaced by Spencer Dryden, which began the group's definitive lineup. They performed at the Woodstock and Altamont festivals but then had their second major line-up change when Dryden left in 1970 to join New Riders Of The Purple Sage. The band stopped touring when Slick became pregnant by Kantner. Kaukonen and Casady formed Hot Tuna in 1971 and the remaining members of Jefferson Airplane recruited new members and regrouped as Jefferson Starship in 1974, with Marty Balin eventually joining them. Jefferson Airplane was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 and was presented with the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016.

Hmmm. As with the Dylan Rolling Thunder Review box, Amazon UK is not shipping this Airplane disc to the US. I wonder if this is going to be across the board.

I just checked my three open orders with Amazon UK and all three don't ship to the US!

I guess this is a good time to move to a standalone thread?

At my end, the Amazon UK listing still shows "This item can be delivered to United States."

Historically, CDs that are "not deliverable to the USA" has been problematic from Canada, but rarely from the UK. And I've never had a pre-order cancelled because the listing later said that it couldn't be delivered to the USA.

So I'm inclined to believe that what people are experiencing is a systemwide glitch ... but we'll see.

Neal (and everyWAN) -- Jim's experience in another thread supports the theory that the "can't be delivered" message is a glitch:

So, try ordering the CD regardless what message it shows on the listing page and you should be able to complete the checkout process.
