The Amazon links in the first post show an initial pre-order price for the deluxe version (the hardcover book packaging) that's actually lower than the standard version. Don't know how long that will last.

Yes, in fact the listings have been flipped altogether. What was the standard version listing is now for the hardcover edition, and vice-versa, so early pre-orderers might need to redo those orders now.

There's a track from the 2nd disc making the rounds (I saw/heard it on Rolling Stone's music news site); it has a much more digital and, to me, sterile sound than the wonderful original album. Similar to the stuff he's been doing for many years now, some of which I do like. I'm going to pass...

My old roommate bought the original when it first came out so I heard it a lot back then. Good stuff if a bit "ambient light" I was actually hoping that the extended edition might include some nice, dreamy extended/unedited versions of the original tracks. Oh well, I might get this if the price drops enough..
