Description
Neon Lights:
After leaving the Virgin label, and a one-off album with Chrysalis, Simple Minds took stock and decided to make records for themselves. An album of cover versions of songs dear to Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill, "Neon Lights" was released in October 2001. The band put their inimitable stamp on songs by Van Morrison, David Bowie, Pete Shelley, Patti Smith, Kraftwerk, The Doors, Echo & The Bunnymen, Neil Young, Roxy Music and the Velvet Underground. Also included are four bonus tracks: covers of the Human League and Joy Division, plus two remixes. Housed in a handsome digipak, the booklet features photos and newly-written revealing annotation by Jim Kerr himself.

Cry:
After leaving the Virgin label, and a one-off album with Chrysalis, Simple Minds took stock and decided to make records for themselves. After an album of cover versions of songs dear to Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill, "Neon Lights", was released in October 2001, the band went straight back into the studio to record an album of new compositions. "Cry" was released in April 2002, and was recorded in Glasgow, with further recordings made in Sicily with Italian musicians. The five bonus tracks feature non-album b-sides, including a version of Buffalo Springfield's anthem "For What It's Worth", as well as a remix by Planet Funk. Housed in a handsome digipak, the booklet features photos and newly-written revealing annotation by Jim Kerr himself.

Black And White 050505:
Revitalised by the success of the album "Cry", an album of new compositions issued in 2002, the band toured extensively. After pre-production stints in Sicily and Glasgow in late 2004, they went to record in Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum, Holland, finishing the recording on 5th May 2005, hence the numerical part of the title. Released in September, the album saw the band return to the UK album chart. The three bonus tracks are a Japan-only exclusive "Too Much Television" and two non-album B-sides. Housed in a handsome digipak, the booklet features photos and newly-written revealing annotation by Jim Kerr himself.

Graffiti Soul:
In 2005 Simple Minds announced that "Graffiti Soul" had been written on location in Rome, Sicily, Antwerp and Glasgow. The band then returned for the first time in almost three decades to Rockfield Studios, near Monmouth in Wales, where the group had originally recorded their earlier albums "Real to Real Cacophony", "Empires And Dance" and "New Gold Dream". On its release in May 2009, the album reached number 10 in the UK albums chart. "Graffiti Soul" was also issued in a 2CD Deluxe Edition, which Edsel is pleased to make available again. The second CD is "Searching For The Lost Boys", an album of covers of songs by Neil Young, Massive Attack, Magazine, The Stranglers, Thin Lizzy, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Call and The Beach Boys. The two bonus tracks include the band's version of T. Rex's "Children Of The Revolution", originally available only as a download. Housed in a handsome digipak, the booklet features photos and newly-written revealing annotation by Jim Kerr himself.

Big Music:
Preceded by the single "Honest Town", "Big Music" was the band's sixteenth studio album, debuting at number 12 on the UK albums chart when it was released in October 2014. This Deluxe 2CD Edition features the limited edition "Big Music" Bonus CD. This now includes five extra album tracks, including a version of The Doors' "Riders On The Storm", plus the standalone single of the Simple Minds/Stranglers collaboration on "(Get A) Grip (On Yourself"). The four remixes are the acclaimed Johnson Somerset remixes of the singles from "Big Music". Housed in a handsome digipak, the booklet features photos and newly-written revealing annotation by Jim Kerr himself.
