Description
The Ides Of March was the name of a Chicago-based band that was formed in the mid-'60s as a garage band. The group's sound however would soon progress towards psychedelic pop/rock and blue eyed soul. This DOUBLE-CD contains reissues of the albums 'Vehicle' and 'Common Bond', originally released in 1970 and 1971 respectively. This collection has only been previously available as part of the Rhino Handmade catalogue. It is now reissued at an affordable price.

this is well worth a purchase if you into horn bands at all.

contains the full length version of the underground classic and late night FM radio staple 'tie-dye princess'.

the rhino handmade was quite expensive if i recall correctly.

The Handmade release was a CD / 3" CD package, I bought it when it was first released.

i don’t think so. They were popular as promos and European singles for a while but interest seemed to have dried up.

I think the record folks intended them as CD singles and sold them as such for a while. Rhino put out a whole bunch of three inch CDs in the late eighties or maybe the early nineties, mini versions of some of their greatest hits comps with four hits on each one. I remember them for the Turtles, Classics IV, Raspberries. I'm sure they're around here somewhere. Sony and others also sold CD players back then with the three inch well in the middle of the CD tray to hold a 3" CD without the need of the adapter you'd have to slap them into which made them 5" across.

The Def Leppard EP was issued on a 3" CD as part of the Album Collection Vol. 1 boxed set.
