So Elektra/Rhino released the debut album as a box set with CD and vinyl, then released the second, Strange Days, as a 2 CD set. Now the third album returns to the CD/vinyl box. I bought the Strange Days 2 CD set, and I would've bought this one as a CD only set. I really only want the second CD, and I already have vintage vinyl for all the Doors studio albums, so unless I can get a really great price for this, I'll pass.

Thanks Linda! I found that listing on Amazon.ca after I posted earlier but wasn't sure it was the right one. I shall order that. And I hope there is a similar release for "Waiting For the Sun".

This certainly looks like the way to go for those of us who have no use for vinyl. And at a reasonable price. Would be nice if we could get this version via Amazon, to keep IMWAN ($$) in the loop. Thanks, Larry!

Normally I be all over this but having the SACD of this title and have previously purchased the first two albums in this series I'll await for the 12x12 edition.

The Japanese edition will definitely end up at Amazon, and we'll post links when it's there, but the best price will undoubtedly come via Amazon's third party sellers after the release date. So it would also be a matter of waiting.

The original vinyl release (which I pilfered from my Uncles record collection back in the late 70's) came with a poster. They could have at least thrown a copy in with this release.
CDJapan currently beats the Amazon UK price. If history is a guide, I expect third party sellers at all three Amazon sites to become the best prices after the release date. (This is my own method for buying Japanese titles and I recommend it heartily to everyWAN ... if you can stand waiting, that is.)
Are we certain that the Japanese version will include both CDs from the box set, though? Amazon currently shows the Japanese edition as one disc, as does CDJapan.
