Includes 4 spectacular studio albums in their entirety from the '90s & '00s plus a superb double concert album recorded in Berkeley CA 1976 with Quicksilver Messenger Service guitarist John Cipollina! Formed in 1968 out of the Welsh rock group The Bystanders, Man would go on to become a widely celeberated outfit renowned for their explosive live shows that featured extended jam sessions! Each CD is packaged in its own jacket, recreating the artwork from the original release, along with liner notes by music historian Dave Thompson!

The live set interests me; Purple Pyramid scares me! (Though I am very curious to hear Man mess with the Beach Boys. I suspect it will be sarcastic beyond my wildest ideas!)

Never heard of them
I will have to check out some of their music on YouTube

I'd suggest starting with either
Maximum Darkness (live album with Cippolina)
or
Slow Motion (their best studio album)

They also have 2 of the inexpensive 5 album Original Album Series sets which pretty much cover everything essential

Combination of prog, power pop, psych & goofiness.

#1 is mostly studio, #2 is mostly live.
