Over 35 years since their formation, Yazoo - Vince Clarke and Alison Moyet are still acclaimed as one of the UK’s greatest pop duos.

During their short time together, they made two classic albums ‘Upstairs At Eric’s’ and ‘You And Me Both’, released iconic hit singles ‘Only You’, ‘Don’t Go’ and ‘Nobody’s Diary’ and toured before disbanding in 1983. Their legacy was a sentiment and a sonic style which sent shock waves through the early-80s charts and continues to be heard in the latest pop hits and throughout contemporary electronica.

Three Pieces - A Yazoo Compendium features three remastered CDs in a hardback mediabook format with a 32 page booklet containing lyrics and photos.

Question...never realized till now that Situation was not part of Upstairs at Eric's proper till now. Does anyone know if the version on the cd is represented here on Disc3?

My US version has "Situation" on track 9. I guess it replaced "Tuesday".

So are their any other missing tracks? I can't imagine a Yazoo set without "Situation".

This was originally vinyl only and people spoke up regarding the lack of a CD version. The band's web page covered this very nicely. Great to see that our voices can be heard.

Correct, Situation was a single only track in Europe.

Doesn't look that way according to the posted tracks.

It is definitely not the "Situation" that was on the In Your Room box. Why they left it out is one of life's mysteries.

Here are a couple of audio samples. (The images show Four Pieces in reference to the vinyl version of this collection, which is coming out a week earlier. The CD edition shown in the first post fits on three discs, therefore is entitled Three Pieces.)

I wonder what the reason is for leaving off one of their biggest tracks, the other set is OOP so it is not like they are trying to keep selling In Your Room. The new set is nicely priced for those who missed out on the earlier set.
