Nice to see that both the 68 and 71 mixes are included. I kinda wish they separated on two discs, and added the live items as a third, but a quibble of a complaint. Here's the track listing and more info from dead.net:
This is one the most thrilling albums the Grateful Dead ever produced, mixing portions of live recordings from the first six months of Mickey's tenure with the band, along with studio experimentations that would hint at where the Dead would go when they started recording to 16-track tape the following year. The 1971 remix, produced in order to make the album more accessible to the newer fans who were brought on board with WORKINGMAN'S DEAD and AMERICAN BEAUTY, has been the most commonly heard version for the past 45+ years. However, having this side-by-side with the original 1968 mix demonstrates countless differences, with the original mix being more primal, psychedelic, and experimental. Add to this the first extant live recording featuring Mickey as a member of the Grateful Dead, and you have a very special release in every way.” - David Lemieux
We're continuing our 50th anniversary reissue series with ANTHEM OF THE SUN: 50th ANNIVERSARY DELUXE EDITION, due July 13th. Released 50 years after its anniversary date, this two-disc deluxe version features a double dose of the original album - one fully remastered from the original 1968 mix and the other remastered from the more well-known 1971 mix - as well as a bonus disc of a previously unreleased complete live show recorded on October 22, 1967 at Winterland in San Francisco, CA. Newly remastered by Jeffrey Norman, this is the first known recording of the Grateful Dead with Mickey Hart, who joined the band in September 1967. The first run will come with a special lenticular of the cover.

I'm in, wish there was less PP on the live stuff, but a long Other One will be nice.
Other possible negative: like most of the rest of today's trendy mastering, the last one didn't sound as good as the hi-res box set from a couple years back.

I played all 3 versions of the Other One in 24 bit tonight.
The sound quality of both studio mixes is excellent. I'm unsure which mix I prefer, I was surprised at how different the 2 are. From a MIX POV the 1971 sounded like it was from the 90's or early this century.
On the other hand, the live version has mediocre sound & the performance is the worst pre late 80's I've ever heard of this song.
To be blunt, the live show has the worst sound of any official 24 bit Dead show I've ever heard, & for that matter has worse sound than most official Dead live cd's I've heard (& I've heard a ton of them!).

I was very interested in getting this album as I always like to check out alternate mixes for albums, and I tend to prefer the earlier, "psychedelic" Dead. But it wasn't a priority. I figured I would keep an eye out for a good deal. Then I saw a copy of this CD in a store today. How could people leave out the most important point about this release? It has an amazing lenticular cover that I almost felt I could dive into! This is the greatest selling point for any album ever released! What can I say, I'll pick up virtually anything with a lenticular cover (earlier this year, see Metallica Garage Days E.P. long box, also, the new Ghost album). Music's great and all, but somewhat 3D covers are where it's at for me. Nice cover. I'll probably play the CD tomorrow.

Yep love 3D lenticular covers, Transatlantic's Kaleidoscope was a good one a few years ago.
Nice! Is the lenticular cover only on the LP, or CD as well? My post above was a little facetious (kinda mocking my own obsession with them), but I really do like them, and I bought that Grateful Dead CD as soon as I saw it today.
