This is pretty pointless considering it was just released a year ago with a second disc for just a few bucks more. I'm sure Sony is anxious to "cash in" on George now that he is gone, but this release makes zero sense. They may not have permission from his estate to put out any unreleased material, but even a "singles collection" or "remix/b-side/rarities collection" would have been a better money grab than this. Anyone who wants this album would most likely have already picked it up last year.

It's the previous release that didn't make sense. It was paired with an Unplugged show from years later.

Well, I can't disagree with you there. I said the same thing the minute it was announced. The unplugged show should have been paired up with a (hopefully) future release of "Older." His unreleased "Cover to Cover" tour would have been much better to include with LWP.

But what's done is done and since that's already out there, this seems beyond stupid.
