Bannings: If you're not nice
Description Following the now sold-out first box set of Porcupine Tree's 'Delerium Years', and the near sold-out second box set, Kscope are re-releasing the band's records from the era as a series of mid-price CDs. Up The Downstair: Porcupine Tree released 'Up The Downstair' in 1993 as an album that took British psychedelic and progressive rock into the modern era, dropping the indulgent nature of the genres for forceful, emotive music. This version uses real drums (played by Gavin Harrison) in place of the original sampled drums, and features the tracks remastered by Steven Wilson in 2016 with more naturalistic dynamics and EQ - remasters previously only available on vinyl. It will be presented in a digipack packaging complete with an 8-page booklet. The Sky Moves Sideways: 'The Sky Moves Sideways' is regarded by many fans as one of Porcupine Tree's finest releases and a cornerstone of any Porcupine Tree collection. Recorded partly as a Steven Wilson solo project and partly as a full band album, 'The Sky Moves Sideways' is a diverse experimental rock release spanning space rock and progressive rock styles with long guitar led, instrumental sections. Wilson specially remastered the album for the first Delerium Years box set, and that remastered version has not been available on CD until this release. This version will be released as a mid-price double CD in a 6-panel digipack. Coma Divine: Riding high on the success of their 1996 album Signify, Porcupine Tree achieved their first 'break' when Italian station Radio Rock playlisted "Radioactive Toy" and invited the band over to Rome to the largest audience they had played for. Returning to the city near the end of the ensuing European tour, the band recorded performances over three nights creating their first ever official live album, 'Coma Divine'. This edition of the album features bonus tracks not included on the original 1997 CD release, including the early classics "Radioactive Toy" and "Up The Downstair", and documents the turning point in a band that soon became pivotal to the prog rock scene. This re-issue uses Steven Wilson's remaster from 2012 and includes a 4-page accompanying booklet. It will be released a mid-price double CD presented in a 6-panel digipack packaging.Up The Downstair https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078X52TFT/?tag=imwan-20 The Sky Moves Sideways https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078X9BG8S/?tag=imwan-20 Coma Divine https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078B3YC94/?tag=imwan-20

Listening to Porcupine Tree today, the
In Abstentia album. Spent yesterday working out the chords for the song
Blackest Eyes with my guitar teacher. Cool stuff. I think I made him a fan.

Tempting. Here's hoping for a hi-res version.

This is good news. Due to all the raves I've read here and on other boards I have slowly been picking up Porcupine Tree's CDs over the last few years and "Up The Downstair" and "The Sky Moves Sideways" are the only studio albums I hadn't yet purchased. And I don't have any of their live albums yet. So this will be an easy way to fill in some gaps.

The 2004 Snapper reissue of Up The Downstair was a 2-CD set, which included the "Staircase Infinities" e.p. on the second disc.
