Description
Scoop:
Digitally remastered two CD set featuring 25 of the original demos recorded by Who songwriter Pete Townshend. Many of the tracks ended up as official Who songs ('Behind Blue Eyes', 'Magic Bus', 'Bargain', 'So Sad About Us') while others remained unreleased until this collection's release in 1983. Each of the demos are fully realized, with Townshend playing each instrument, showing the depth and detail of his songwriting skills.

Another Scoop:
The second collection of original demos recorded by Who songwriter Pete Townshend is available on a digitally remastered two CD set featuring 27 tracks. Many of the tracks ended up as official Who songs ('Pinball Wizard', 'Happy Jack', 'Substitute', 'The Kids Are Alright' etc…) while others were unreleased until 1987 when this collection was released.

Scoop 3:
Released in 2001, Scoop 3 is a compilation of demos and alternate versions of previous Who songs and new Pete Townshend material. It is the third and last Scoop collection. It contains fewer demos of previous Who songs than the previous Scoop and Another Scoop thus it contains much more recent material than the previous albums. In addition to Who music, the album also contains songs from Townshend's albums such as The Iron Man: A Musical and All the Best Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes.

i used to have 1 & 2 (2 was a double CD) neer listened to them and never used anything from them for comps. gone now.

thanks for the heads-up though :)

ya know, up until 'it's hard' i truly loved the who.........townshend's first couple solo efforts are also quite good and i have both a daltrey and entwistle best of.

i just, for the life of me cannot figure out how something so good could get so bad so fast.

i understand the whole "muse" theory (stills talks about it all the time, and he lost his for a long time, only lately starting to come back) but with pete townshend....wow!

I have the two Classic record DAD discs, Scoop 1 never made the cut. I will add these for sure, Pete's demos are amazing IMO.

I agree with you. I play the three Scoops and the Lifehouse demos as much as I do Pete's studio releases.
