Exciting news: the first two albums by 70's funk soul sister, Betty Davis, will be released on CD by Light in the Attic on May 15, 2007. They will also include bonus tracks. I know they have been available on CD previously, but those were somewhat shoddy, from both a sound and packaging perspective.

Actually, Light in the Attic states the CDs are available now via their website. The retail release date is 05/15/07.

I got my copies of the Betty Davis CDs this past weekend. Light In The Attic did a fantastic job, both with the sound, and the digi-pak presentation. Very nice booklets, with a running history of Betty, as well as some current quotes from Betty herself... Amazing that this music holds up 30-some years after release!
