It was released in 1974. Bridge of Sighs, his second album after leaving Procol Harum, was a breakthrough album for Trower. Songs from this album, such as "Bridge of Sighs", "Too Rolling Stoned", "Day of the Eagle" and "Little Bit of Sympathy", have become live concert staples for Trower. Day of the Eagle: The Best of Robin Trower is a 17-cut selection compiled from the eight albums that documented his greatest commercial success, beginning with 1973's Twice Removed from Yesterday and ending with 1980's Victims of the Fury.
