The 1987 MSG show is incomplete, and aside from the newer remixes I think we have (almost!) all the b-sides on the previous box set. Pass for me unless this gets down to $40 or less.

I wonder if the mastering will be different than the last round. Would also be nice to have his-res versions of the classic albums.

EDIT: Rumors are this set uses the 2007 remastering.

My first U2 concert was at MSG in 1987, although they played two nights, so Disc 2 might've been recorded at my show.

I will wait for the 35th anniversary edition. Buy the 2 CD set if you absolutely need the live album. The 20th covers the other stuff minus the remixes.

I'm sure I was there too as I would never miss U2 in concert. In fact 2 years earlier I was at their first ever appearance at MSG April 1 1985 and the opening act was Lone Justice (remember when they were big?).

It was the Unforgetabble Fire Tour and set U2 on a rocket ride ever since.

One of my all time favorite shows because my little Irish band, I had bought their first lp almost a year before (from Ireland), it finally broke big here and I was playing it constantly. I was thrilled when I Will Follow became a hit.

Early vinyl and some cassette copies of the album have an unlisted and untitled thirty-second instrumental sample of "Saturday Night", a song that would become "Fire" (on 1981's October album) at the very end of the album, after "Shadows and Tall Trees". This was dropped from most vinyl copies and all early CD versions. It was re-instated on the 2008 remastered editions of Boy and appeared in full for the first time as "Saturday Night" on the Deluxe Edition B-sides CD included with the 2008 remastered version of Boy. Until the remastered release of Boy, this thirty-second sample was thought to be "Fire."

I grabbed the 2 CD version today on the way to work and played it in the B200. It's is all I need.
No need for remixes. If they had done a 5.1 mix and a DVD filmed concert from 1987 I may have bitten.
