I'm surprised they are all being released on the same day. I figured they would be spaced out over the year. I took the plunge on the big set two weeks ago so it's moot for me now. I really wanted the Pompeii audio disc and the seventh "bonus" box. I forgot how much I love this period of Pink Floyd.

The USA and Canada pre-order links in the first post are now active. Each box is designed in this style (just using the first one as an example):

The USA pre-order prices for the forthcoming box sets in the first post have all dropped by $5 to $10.

Calling all Floydfreaks: I bought the 69, 70, and 72 volumes.
69 & 70 are amazing, particularly the video. 69 Floyd is like Live/Dead mated with mid80s Sonic Youth. Wow! 70 is my first exposure to AHM and is basically an AHM Immersion set. Very satisfying!
But the 72 box fails for me. I didn't buy the 71 due to lack of content. My feeling now is that the Pompeii audio and video should have been in the 71 volume and the 72 volume shouldn't have been made. Pompeii was recorded in 10/71. Obscured remix is pffft. The 72 non-Pompeii video is missable.
Without something like disc 6 of the Dark Side Immersion Set, 72, the Dark Side development year, isn't even properly covered anyway! With Pompeii included, the 71 volume would have kicked ass!
What are your thoughts, Floyd experts?

I enjoyed all of the DVDs and CDs. I bought the monster box and thought that it was very well done.

I got the big box as well, and love it. The band was never more interesting than they were during these years. I didn't have any problem with how the 71 and 72 boxes were divided. One thing I would've appreciated was having all the musical content from the DVDs/Blu-rays included on the CDs. I know it's possible to rip it, but I feel I paid enough that Pink Floyd Records could've performed the labour for that. But really, the set was more than I ever would've expected before it's announcement.

What are your thoughts, Floyd experts? I got the big box when it was released. A wonderful example of a set just having way too much quantity. Especially on the video side, just how many more versions does someone need of Careful With That Axe, Eugene and Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun? IMO the way to approach these individual sets is to buy the first one, then if you like it buy the second, and then keep going until you hit the volume that doesn't do much for you and then stop. The first volume is essential for Floyd fans IMO. The second volume is near essential if you don't already have songs like Point Me To The Sky in your collection. After that it becomes pretty spotty.

If they had included the 5.1 mixes of Obscured By Clouds & Meddle the later boxes would have been significantly better. (Yeah I know Meddle did sneak in but it's not the same is it).
