It's been a long time since I've seen it. Was Swamp used in the movie?

Was this one on Renny's list? If not, it should be... pretty sure this is the first release on CD.

no, it was not...and i don;t know why it wasn't, i guess that it has been so long i just forgot about it.

the robbie robertson song makes it worth the purchase, the rest is all a very nice bonus.

jay will know better than me, but i think this robertson song was only on this and never appeared anywhere else, as for the other tunes, i am not really sure if there are any totally unique songs to this soundtrack, i know that 'wonderful remark" was until morrison put it on his greatest hits CD.

I think Ric Ocasek's "Steal The Night" is otherwise unavailable, and the included version of "'Tain't Nobody's Bizness (If I Do)" was recorded by B.B. King and Robbie Robertson specifically for this album.

yes, TK, the Ric Ocasek song is otherwise unavailable - you are correct.
Ric has a number of OST tracks and rarities i wish would be compiled and released.
hell, just do some remasters/reissues of the solo catalog and tack-on those for bonus material...
i'd buy them all JUST for the bonus tracks alone.

Renny,

That's correct as to the RR song.

No. Typical barebones Wounded Bird artwork.

If you're curious, DR ranges from 9 to 11.

Agree with other posts that this was a great movie. Who knew that Jerry Lewis had acting chops like these? And that Sandra Bernhard had such a great physique? Finally, De Niro - well, he was (and is) a force of nature as an actor.

Agree also that this is a fabulous soundtrack - I have it as a cassette. To me, the sleeper track is Rickie Lee Jones singing the Tom Waits composition "Rainbow Sleeves."

As best I can recall it's heard very briefly in the background during a street scene, maybe from a passing car radio or something like that. It's crazy sometimes how minimally a song will be used just to get it on a soundtrack.

Speaking of which, is the multi-artist soundtrack of new/unreleased tracks a dying concept? Seems like there were a ton of these in the past but the last one I remember hearing anything about was The Hunger Games. Then again, maybe I'm just indifferent these days.
