Description
Look Park is the debut album from Chris Collingwood, lead singer and founding member of Fountains of Wayne, under the moniker Look Park. It features his pop sensibilities and unmistakable vocals he made famous in Fountains. Similar to the way Fountains of Wayne chose its name based on a garden store that was located near the band's rehearsal space, Look Park takes its name from a park near Collingwood's home. The self-titled Look Park debut album was produced by Mitchell Froom (Elvis Costello, Crowded House, Sheryl Crowe, The Pretenders, Los Lobos). Look Park plans on touring in late summer beginning in the US, with UK and EU dates to follow.

I don't know about the music, but Look Park has a lot of great memories for me when I was a kid.

"Fountains of Wayne" was located right down the Hwy Rt 46. The "Anthony Wayne's" burger place was right down from it and it was the place to hang out after sporting events during the H.S. days. (Both are gone now).

I live less than 5 minutes from there Rick. The Anthony Wayne was another fun place to go to when I was younger.

I talked about this in the Concerts thread, but I really think that, like a lower-tier Lennon/McCartney, Collingswood/Schlesinger was a partnership that was much greater than the sum of its parts. There's some good stuff here, but nothing rises to the level of FOW's middle-of-the-road stuff.

Kinda what I thought. Maybe my expectations were set to high. I have read that Adam Schlesinger would like to write and record with Chris again. I hope it occurs soon.
