Description
The New York Times dubs R Stevie Moore a "lo-fi legend", he has over 400 releases to his credit since he started making music in 1968. Jason Falkner is a power pop pioneer who started his career in the 80's with The Three O'Clock and is a founding member of Jellyfish. He has released numerous solo records and has worked with such greats as Beck, Air, Aimee Mann, Travis and Paul McCartney. Moore and Falkner are legends on their own but, as Make It Be loudly announces, their voices, performances, and arrangements have always been a match made in heaven waiting to be realized here on earth.

I was on a bit of a Jason Falkner kick last week. Not sure I care much for R. Stevie Moore's voice, but the track has Jason's stamp all over it.

Been following R. Stevie Moore off and on for several decades now. Good to see he's still at it.

I've never heard him before. Any recommended starting place? I many try and get a hang on this guy's voice before this collaboration is released.

Great Test Hits is a compilation of several favorites and is a good starting point.

Glad Music and Clack are both studio recordings and a bit more focused than some of his homemade efforts.

If you want to go beyond these check out The Future Is Worse Than The Past, another compilation but a bit quirkier than some of his others.

Moore is so prolific that there is a ton of stuff I have not heard, but these are good introductions to his world and the good news is that they are all on Spotify.
