On January 27th, 2016, folk icon Joan Baez celebrated her 75th birthday with a historic performance at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. The special event honored her legendary 50-plus years in music in an intimate, career-spanning live performance. Baez performed alongside fellow artists and friends, including: David Bromberg, Jackson Browne, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Judy Collins, David Crosby, Indigo Girls, Emmylou Harris, Damien Rice, Paul Simon, Mavis Staples, Nano Stern and Richard Thompson.

one of those voices that i just cannot, no mater how hard i try, listen to for more than 30 seconds.

and i've tried, believe me, i've tried.

Her voice on the early stuff can be a little too strident, but "Diamonds And Rust" is one of my favorite songs by anyone.

I was at the show
It was alot of fun.

I just looked at the setlist - http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/joan-baez ... 3e36b.html - and they're releasing the complete show. It will be interesting to see what editing/sweetening is done. There was a fair amount of under-rehearsed sounding flubs.......the David Crosby "Blackbird" was pretty bad.

I'm definitely buying.
