Fronted by Mancunian singer-songwriter Clive Gregson, Any Trouble were signed to Stiff in 1980 and touted by the press as the next Elvis Costello & The Attractions.

Any Trouble’s debut album Where Are All The Nice Girls was critically acclaimed. The band followed with Wheels In Motion (1981), then signed with EMI America before disbanding in 1984 after five LPs.

In 2007, Any Trouble reunited for a new album Life In Reverse. Now they’re back with more intelligent, melodic songs penned by Clive – a double album’s worth of tunes entitled Present Tense.

Any Trouble had reunited (again) to promote the Cherry Red anthology which came out last year, and it looks like they've decided to stay together for a new album too. The group played shows in England and Spain last month, and debuted a bunch of new songs. This is the only one which has been uploaded to YouTube so far, entitled "Anybody Else":

The brand new Any Trouble CD is finished. Eighteen new Gregsongs, played by CG, Chris Parks (guitars), Mark Griffiths (bass) and Martin Hughes (drums). We're delighted with the way the album turned out... and we hope you will be too! We're currently looking for a label to release the CD and as soon as we get that locked down, I'll post a release date. We're also planning to play live dates to support the release... we had a great time on our short tour last December and are looking forward to more of the same.

Bump: Added the pre-order details to the first post. The first single will be a song called "Glen Campbell", meant to even things up since Campbell had recorded a song called "Any Trouble".
