I went to the guitar store this weekend with some trepidation - their web site showed two Guthrie models. Fortunately they didn't have any. Crisis of willpower avoided!
Two weeks and a couple days until I get to see them!

How was the show, John??
I really like the new material and the DVD that came with the deluxe edition. I would love to see them live again, but they aren't playing close enough for me to make a show this time.

Absolutely awesome! I ended up in a nice seat in the front row right in front of Guthrie Govan and with great sightlines of all the players (see photo). Marco played a monstrous drum solo that was inventive and fun as only Marco can do, Guthrie of ourselves is a guitar God and Bryan Beller is one hell of a bass player.
Everyone had a grand time. Do not miss this band if they are anywhere near you!

The band was in Philly last night with another wild sold out show! I love how they bring cups of beer on stage to refresh themselves about half way through.

I assumed somebody sent the drinks up.
When I was waiting to get a pic with Guthrie and talk to him about his (and John's) guitar, he told us, "We're going to have to move inside because this" - his nearly empty beer - "isn't going to last forever."

He loves his beer.
Wished I could have asked him about the "red" guitar and is it in the pipeline but I had to get home from NYC for work in the morning (I get up at 5:30 every morning).

Another sold out show in VA and more beer. You can see the red guitar really well in this photo. The one I have is to the right of the red guitar. They will be in Atlanta this weekend (Friday), don't miss em Georgia!

The band visited the site of the bands hit "Texas Crazypants" and fans of the group know the story behind the song. And who could not be a fan of this group. Shame on you.
