They really haven't been the same since Steven Page left, as drug addled as he was at the time. Saw them live a year ago, and their old stuff was dynamite (minus One Week, which they rushed through and It's All Been Done, a Page vehicle they skipped completely) while their new stuff was really downbeat and uninspired.

as with many pieces of their catalog, watch for one or more of the outlets to be offering-up bonus tracks.

100% with you here. I was a huge BL fan, and I gave up on them after the first post-Page album. Just awful.

I really enjoyed Page's The Vanity Project and Page One, however. Come to think of it, I haven't heard A Different Sort of Solitude yet...

If/when they all reunite, I'll be back.

Agreed on every point. Page's solo stuff has been amazing whereas the Ladies output has been boring as hell. Almost painfully lackadaisical.

I can't get through 3 full minutes of a single new song of theirs, nevertheless a full album (and I've tried listening to them all). I thought they'd be able to carry on without him but obviously not. "Everything To Everyone" was a low point and it's gotten worse with every release.

As much as I'd like to see a reunion, I'd much rather see Page have a hit or two on his own since it's becoming more and more evident that the was the talent in the band. I imagine his ouster was just as much a power play as it was because of his drug use.

Pinch Me is hysterical live, because Ed changes the words, and people throw underwear on the stage, which he wears on his head. Chimpanzees and If I Had $1,000,000 are also a lot of fun live.

Actually, Page was around after Everything to Everyone. He was still in for Barenaked Ladies Are Me/Are Men and Snacktime! before being ousted. I liked a lot of all of those. Guess I'm just a Page fan...

well... i opted for the BestBuy 2-track bonus version.
what can i say... it's their worst album to date.
out of 15 tracks, i like 3 (one of them being a bonus track).
i'd give it a D+.
