First video from this album is up on YouTube. I only scanned through it because I want to hear it as part of the album, but what I heard sounds really good (especially Roine Stolt's guitar solo). I'll be buying the Deluxe Artbook when it's available for pre-sale next week.

The preorder for this began at 10AM Eastern time today, but I've been unable to get the site to work on my computer. I really want to order the deluxe artbook. Hopefully it's not so limited that they'll all be gone by the time traffic at the site slows down. Has anyone else attempted to order from them today?
Update: I was finally able to get through at around 11:15AM and placed my order. Looks like they got their server issues corrected. According to comments at Neal Morse's Facebook page, a lot of people were clamoring for this preorder & all that traffic shut things down for them. Now I can eagerly await for my deluxe edition to ship in January.

I pre-ordered thru Burning Shed a few weeks ago, getting the deluxe set.
I probably should've done the same thing, although it would've cost me a lot more money once I added additional items to my shopping cart. As is, this set cost me $60 with shipping. I've always bought the most deluxe version of all of their releases and I've never been disappointed, so I expect this one will be worth every penny.

John, the deluxe artbook edition is worth the wait. I got mine last weekend and it's a beautiful thing to behold. I've only listened to the album once (I played the surround sound mix as my first exposure), and based on that I think it's an excellent album but maybe not packing as many classic moments as their first three. That opinion may change after a few more listens, but I was immediately blown away by the others and this one..while packed with amazing musicianship and great melodies...didn't sound as fresh to me. (This is not a negative review, though. I still love it).
The bonus covers disc is excellent. I especially like their version of "And You And I," which is my favorite Yes song. I hope yours arrives soon. Looking forward to hearing what you think of it.

John, I'm glad it finally arrived. I knew you would love that packaging. I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on the album. I still haven't given it a second listen yet. I'm hoping I'll like it even more when that happens.

Glad you were able to order a copy. You're going to be really impressed with the packaging. It's gorgeous. I'm still just slightly disappointed with the album itself, but that's only in comparison to their previous three albums which are among my favorite modern-day prog albums. The new one has all the incredible musicianship & impressive arrangements that we've come to expect, but for me the songs just aren't as strong as the earlier material. As I mentioned in the "What Are You Listening To Right Now?" thread earlier today, I would rate the first three albums as a 9/10 while the new one is maybe an 8/10. But considering they were following up the brilliant "The Whirlwind" they did a pretty fine job.

Thanks Rich for the endorsement. I do not have anything on this band but can't go wrong on starting here. You and JohnG's remarks are what encouraged me to await for the refill to order this version.
I need to get "Whirlwind" and the others as well. I know they are going to blow me away being a prog fan that I am.

I hope you love it. Since you don't have any other Transatlantic I imagine you'll be blown away, and if you are you'll have three other albums that are, in my opinion, even better. And if you're not already a fan of the bands that spawned this supergroup, you'll have a whole catalog of The Flower Kings & Spock's Beard to check out (as well as Marillion & Dream Theater, but they're much more well known than the others and I'm guessing you know their music already). Oh, and the surround sound mix of "Kaleidoscope" is fantastic. One of the best I've heard that wasn't mixed by Steven Wilson.

Pre-order now for the 27th January release.
I was able to convince Jimbo to buy the 2CD set but failed miserably with Chris while at Newbury Comics in Boston.
I wore my very bright green tye die psychedelic Transatlantic t-shirt while walking around Harvard Square. I think it scared all the redheads away.
