The 2-CD set, DVD and Blu-ray Video all contain the same songs as Pete noted above. The Blu-ray Audio (currently listed erroneously by Amazon as a live album) is a hi-res 5.1 mix of the original Quadrophenia studio album. Details for the 5-Disc Limited Collector's Edition are as follows:

I guess Pete finally found the missing multitrack reels for Quadrophenia? Isn't that why there were only a few tracks in 5.1 on the Box Set? I hope this is a better mix.

This is the first I'm hearing that "Quadrophenia" was missing multitrack reels. That said, AFAIK the only explanation ever offered for the truncated 5.1 version of the album on the boxed set was a supposed failure to gauge consumer demand. Pete did say something about posting it on the Q-Cloud, but that never happened.
I'm not sure what this may or may not mean, other than to point out that I find it noteworthy that Universal is releasing this--I'd have to double check this, but other than "Endless Wire", much of the post-Moon (and post-Entwistle) live stuff to his the market in the past twenty years or so has been on smaller labels ("Blues To The Bush", the encore series, "Live At The Royal Albert Hall").

From SH forums:
"I composed Quadrophenia specifically for the promised quadrophonic audio revolution that didn't happen," Townshend says. "I hope to have that album remixed in the way I intended back then - with four musical themes emerging from each of four corners of the room, and combining centrally in the finale to demonstrate the hero's spiritual epiphany." Rocky Mtn News, Jan. 10, 2004
"The band has agreed upon a work plan for the coming year and beyond. At present Pete is involved in setting up a team to do a 5.1 remix of Quadrophenia, which will be released along similar lines to the upcoming Tommy release. An extended version is also planned for the same release, opening the story up for future theatrical and DVD versions." Sept. 2003 news release from The Who
"At the moment I’m remixing Quadrophenia in 5.1 with Andy Macpherson, just for Pete to listen to and decide where he wants to go with it. We took some stuff out, used analogue processing and then went back in." Jon Astley, quoted in March 2004 Resolution Magazine interview.
Ah, here's something: from Feb. 1, 2008, members interview with Pete on the forums at TheWho.Com
johnmcdonald: Back in 2004 Tommy was remixed for the 5.1 DVD-Audio format. At the time, rumours suggested that you were working on 5.1 mixes for the other albums, such as Who’s Next and Quadrophenia. Are these remixes ever likely to be released?
PETE: That’s right. I gave up on Quadrophenia as I decided I really want to re-record a director’s cut of it (the way Jean Michel Jarre has just done with Oxygene). One day I will do this if I get time. Who’s Next, it turns out, is no longer a complete set of masters. An entire side has been stolen from our vaults at some point. These things happen. Someone, somewhere, has it in a cupboard and is waiting for us to die? What then?

Here's where I have to wonder if Scotland Yard has ever paid Renny a visit in order to ask him a few questions.

Damm, now that's a 5.1 that I would LOVE to hear. Not going to happen now (unless the thieves die first).

Any Who is welcome for me but though I liked Tommy in Surround, it's not what I would call "demo" material. Quadrophenia was a big disappointment (and it's my all time favorite album). I will give the new Blu-ray Audio a shot and hopefully it has the wow factor.

Like Jimmy Page, Pete Townshend keeps revisiting his past glory. Don't get me wrong, but some of us would like to hear new music from both. Forget all this better sound in different format. I drew the line at quadrophonic. That said, I love Quadrophenia! Looking forward to the new LIVE CD in STEREO!

I'm skittish about pre-ordering the 5.1 blu-ray audio until they change the artwork and description. It's not out until June 10 anyway, so hopefully they'll fix it by then.

Now Amazon have posted a temporary image of the new Live In London version on their listing page for the Blu-ray Audio edition:
However, this is the same image which appears in Universal's current solicitations for the BDA, where it's referred to as Quadrophenia (Original Studio Version). I still believe that's what it will turn out to be, but some finalised content details at Amazon would sure help to confirm it.
