Not sure what the technique is called - but if you look closely at the front of the new Stax 50th Anniversary cd, and move it around a bit, the picture of the fingers on the front cover go through the motions of a finger-snap. Hard to describe in words, but cool to look at.

Yeah, it's cool - kinda like the "Wingspan" effect, also Iron Butterfly, among others.

It's called "lenticular motion."

Back in the sixties we called it a wiggle picture.

Besides the cool 3D cover, this is a great collection. Highly recommended and still available at bargain prices.
