Not sure why they are doing another acoustic album, but 2001's "Acoustica" was excellent and the set list for these shows was great.

I'm fairly sure I will purchase this, but I want to see what songs made the cut.

O love the Scorps, but they're starting to overdo it on too much "product" at least it's new recordings & not yet another comp.

The Scorpions have revealed the tracklisting for the upcoming release of “MTV Unplugged - Scorpions Live In Athens.”

Due November 29 in Europe (January 21, 2014 in North America), the package features a mix of classic Scorpions tracks and new songs.

In September, the German rockers performed three MTV Unplugged concerts in Athens, Greece at the city’s Lycabettus Theatre.

“When we were approached with the idea of playing an unplugged show, we immediately thought of Greece,” says singer Klaus Meine. “We played here many years ago. It is a beautiful place. I can remember that even back then the fans climbed onto the surrounding rocks. Of course we played some of the greatest classics this time, but we also performed a few new songs as well as material that we had never played live up to then. Those are songs which are very popular with the fans but which somehow never made it onto the set lists.”

“We have fabulous fans all over the world,” adds guitarist Matthias Jabs, “but the Greeks are absolute die-hard fans.”

“MTV Unplugged - Scorpions Live In Athens” will be available on CD, DVD and Blu-ray disc, and can be pre-ordered via the Amazon links below.

I'm listening to a 12 song version. It's pretty good except for the guest vocalists which are a mistake.

Sonically, it's brickwalled (DR7, but not horribly fatiguing due to the acoustic nature.

It's out now in the UK and Europe but here in January.

How are the arrangements and new songs?

No way in hell our MTV shows this!

Not essential, but not at all bad. Reasonably enjoyable listen. Will have to play more than once to give an opinion on the new songs. While I THINK I've heard al;l of there albums, not sure I'd know a new song from anything they released the last 15 years. Most of the Scorps studio albums this century were played once or twice here, enjoyed & then never played again. My one complaint is the "Guest vocalists" are totally out of place.

The songs that are new to me on the 12 track I'm playing are #'s 2, 5, 6 & 12; which does not necessarily mean they are new!

I have no explanation or this, but the 2 cd is more brickwalled than the 1 cd edition. 1 cd is "DR7", 2 cd is "DR6"
