Motorhead have revelaed the cover art and final track listing for their new album, “Aftershock”, due next month.

The band’s 21st studio album was recorded at RG Studios in North Hollywood with longtime producer Cameron Webb.

“Steal it if you must, buy it if you can!” says Lemmy, who’s pride in the album is so immense that guests to his home and dressing room in the last couple of months have been treated to extremely loud airings of the rough mixes.

“I really think the variation on the album shows that we’ve dug deep and produced some of our best work for a long time,” adds guitarist Phil Campbell.

“It is,” agrees drummer Mikkey Dee, “a really, really strong Motörhead album, one that really does define everything this band stands for.”

The release follows a bumpy summer for Motorhead, who canceled a series of shows on their summer European festival tour following doctor’s orders after Lemmy suffered a haematoma (where blood collects outside of a blood vessel) and needed to address the issue; the bassist had previously been fitted with a defibrillator because of heart problems.

Motorhead will launch a fall tour in support of “Aftershock” starting November 7 in Zurich, Switzerland.

Motorhead have revealed the tracklist for upcoming album Aftershock.

The 13-song record, their 21st studio outing, is set for release in the autumn, although the date remains to be confirmed.

Guitarist Phil Campbell recently reported that frontman Lemmy was on the road to recovery, after being hospitalised with a haematoma and cancelling a series of shows.

Campbell said: “Better prepare yourselves big time, because our mind-blowing new record Aftershock will be coming out. Lemmy is on the mend and we are gonna be touring our asses off. Business as usual real soon!”

He’ll appear at Bloodstock on August 11 with his Phil Campbell All Star Band.

Motorhead STILL rule and have only made fantastic albums since the 90's. Don't know how they still matter, but they most certainly do. Just hope Lemmy holds out!

Motorhead’s new album, “Aftershock”, has scored the band’s highest US chart position in the band’s 38-year history, debuting at No. 22 on the Billboard 200 with opening week sales of 11,000 copies.

This week, Motorhead announced the postponement of an upcoming European tour in support of the project due to Lemmy’s health.

Dates were scheduled to start November 7 in Zurich, Switzerland.

“I have to sadly let you know that Motorhead has had to postpone the forthcoming European tour until early next year, 2014,” posted Lemmy. “We have made the decision because I am not quite ready to hit the road yet, and am working my way back to full fitness and rude health. Don't worry - I'm not about to start promoting veganism and alcohol-free beverages, but it is fair to say that I personally have been reconfiguring areas of my life to make sure I can come back fitter and stronger than ever.”

“It disappointed me tremendously to have to say I wasn't quite ready to hit the road yet,” he continued, “but not nearly as much as it would've disappointed me to go out, play some average shows and watch my health give way long before the tour was over! When people come to see a Motorhead tour, they expect a Motorhead show, and that is exactly what you will get as soon as I am fit and ready to rumble.”
