Coldplay Announce New Album ‘Ghost Stories’

Coldplay have just officially announced their new album entitled Ghost Stories, due out May 19 via Parlophone. This is the band’s sixth album, which follows 2011′s record-turned comic book, Mylo Xyloto.

Also out of the ether, the band let loose the first single from the album, a song called “Magic”. You can download the sweetly new song, the one little bit of R&B swing to it called “Magic” on iTunes right now.

Coldplay will perform at the iTunes Festival at SXSW in Austin, TX on March 11.

Got my Target exclusive Coldplay CD today at the store (which once again reminded me why I don't go to stores anymore).

I ordered it online for pickup and when I get there Guest Services says go over to Photos but when I went to Photos no one was there so I asked a cashier, where do I pick up ordered CDs, and they say Guest Services, so I go back to Guest Services and now there is a line. Wait a bit and now a new clerk says oh yeah, we have it back here.

No fun. But to get the 3 bonus tracks I have to put up with this nonsense.

Between the credit card fiasco and the over expansion (and underperforming Canadian stores) the darn company is near free fall. Interesting comments I was reading on employee moral as well. Not good. Your experience John is indicative.

I don't love Coldplay, but I very much enjoy what they do.

I guess there's just not much to talk about.
I think this album is good .

I'm a big fan of the first 4 albums but didn't love the last one Mylo Xyloto. I still have to spend time with this new one.
