Product Description
It's been said plenty of times that The Len Price 3 are the best band you've never heard of and the tongue In cheek title of their fourth and finest long player is testament to that. Nobody Knows is a blistering assault through 13 tracks that collectively provide a perfect distillation of their trademark sound. Often compared with 60s giants such as The Who and The Kinks, this barnstorming collection of pulsating pop gems further confirms they belong in such heady company. The album was recorded at London's Gizzard Studios using analogue tape technology. This provided the band with a broader palette and somehow enabled them to capture that elusive lightning in a bottle essence of their notoriously raucous live shows. Nothing of their immediacy is lost in the pursuit of a classically recorded sound. This record's lean perfection is akin to a finely tuned, glistening reconditioned vintage engine that, in turn, manages to emit a thunderous garage growl while simultaneously reaching majestic pop heights and sonically dynamic soundscapes. Their trademark blazers adorn the sleeve and as with their sartorial sophistication, each track is draped in their distinctive harmonies that elevate the band from so many of their contemporaries. Their signature Medway garage sound is combined with the acerbic mini rock opera lyrics that provide the listener with a sonic journey reaffirming their elemental pop power on tracks like the title track, the pulsating My Grandad Jim and the amphetamine spiked Words Won't Come . Elsewhere the record takes on a contemplative and melodic turn with tracks like the beautifully reflective Medway Sun and the evocative Couldn't Get Much Worse The immensely epic and surreal finale, The London Institute , explodes into a cavalcade of apocalyptic psych noise as the album thunders to an end. With this album, they are destined to garner the recognition so many of their existing fans know that they thoroughly deserve. Band Bio: Formed in 2004, The Len Price 3 are an adrenaline pumped pop band from England, forged in the traditions of their Medway Delta roots. They are a revelation to those who encounter them, encompassing all of what you would want from a band in one invigorating sonic experience. Their dazzling live performances feature a rip roaring set of well-honed melodic nuggets played at breakneck speed, complete with shiny pop hooks and chrome glazed harmonies. Dig a bit deeper and you will find a rich lyrical content that is full of acid tongued lyrics and wry social observations. With each release receiving glowing reviews and every live show leaving behind a highly satisfied audience full of enthusiastic devotees, The Len Price 3 are fast becoming a true national treasure... Haven't heard this yet but if it's anything like their other 3 albums, it'll be great. Chinese Burn is still my favorite LP3 release.

It's a great album, Lawrence. That is to say, it sounds like every other Len Price 3 album. :)

Yep, I agree, it's a great album. Their songwriting is on par with their best stuff. Glad some things don't change.
