Love this woman. Great singer and songwriter, very underrated. She's kept a very low profile for quite a while now, but I'm excited about this new album.

Product Description
Acclaimed Nashville-born, New York City-based country singer-songwriter Laura Cantrell returns with her beautiful new album "No Way There From Here", featuring 12 new songs exploring love, loss and longing, and memories of home. Of the decision to record in Nashville Laura says, "There was an idea for me that it was finally time to come home to make music, and to knit these two parts of my life together."

Radio single "Can't Wait" was co-written with Amy Allison (daughter of Mose Allison), who also wrote "The Whisky Makes You Sweeter" on Laura's debut album, "Not The Tremblin' Kind" (which John Peel described as "My favourite album of the last ten years, and possibly my life".) Glass Armour was co-written with Tracyanne Campbell from Camera Obscura.

Laura's last release, 2011's tribute album "Kitty Wells Dresses" was "beautifully rendered" (Uncut) and "charmingly cool" (The Guardian). This new release will delight fans old and new.

1. All the Girls Are Complicated
2. Starry Skies
3. Letter She Sent
4. No Way There from Here
5. Glass Armour
6. Beg or Borrow Days
7. Driving Down Your Street
8. When It Comes to You
9. Can't Wait
10. Barely Said a Thing
11. Washday Blues
12. Someday Sparrow

The actual sound of her music aside, she strikes me as more of a rock audience interest, so I lean towards keeping her in New Releases like we would for Maria McKee, Patty Griffin, etc.

Excellent album, I picked up the import used from the Amazon marketplace (though much less than what's offered now):

Agreed. Her sound is very much rooted in traditional country, but the interest in this will be mostly from rock fans. Thanks, Linda.
