Beach House complete work on new album?
Beach House have reportedly finished work on the follow up to 2010's 'Teen Dream'.
The duo – made up of Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally – have apparently completed their fourth album at New York's iconic Electric Lady Studios. According to Pedestrian.tv, the studio posted a message on their Facebook page saying: "Just wrapped the new Beach House record in Studio A... such a rad record // band."
However, the message was quickly taken down and the band's label Sub Pop have since told Gorilla Vs Bear blogger Chris Cantalini that the studio had "jumped the gun" when it came to breaking the news.

Beach House gets a little bit better each album to these ears. I enjoyed half the tracks on Teen Dream. Still, they need some better production and songwriting to pull off the great album I know they're capable of recording. They do put on a very good live show, I'll give them that.

Beach House announce details of new album 'Bloom' and UK shows
Beach House have announced the full details of their fourth studio album, which will be titled 'Bloom' and released in May.
The Baltimore duo, who released their last LP 'Teen Dream' in 2010, will release their new record on May 14. The record's opening track 'Myth' is currently streaming online – scroll down to the bottom of the page and click to listen to the track.
Speaking to NME about the album, singer Victoria Legrand hinted that the album would feature darker subject matter than 'Teen Dream'. Her bandmate Alex Scally, meanwhile, revealed that the pair wanted the album to be similar to works such as The Cure's 'Disintegration' and The Beach Boys' 'Pet Sounds'.
The tracklisting for 'Bloom' is as follows:
'Myth' 'Wild' 'Lazuli' 'Other People' 'The Hours' 'Troublemaker' 'New Year' 'Wishes' 'On The Sea' 'Irene'
Beach House will also play two UK shows in May to support the release of the record. They will play:
Brighton Haunt (May 23) London Village Underground (24)

Now, that's what I call goals and albums to look for inspiration.
Thanks to Linda for the linked track. I really like what I hear.
If you pre-order Bloom from us by May 15th, you’ll receive a limited edition Beach House poster with your CD or LP order! These are limited, so naturally it’s on a first come, first served basis.

Bloom has yet to bloom for me. Not crazy about the production and really nothing stands out like "Norway" from Teen Dream. But I'm going to give it a few more spins and hope it grows on me.

Here is a video we made using footage from our recording session at Sonic Ranch Studios, Tornillo, Texas. It's more of a home video thing, not a music video.......we just thought these moments and the memories they involve fit this song. SUPER SPECIAL thanks to our wonderful assistant engineer for the session Manuel Calderon (the guy with the tequila), who filmed all the time lapses and a lot of the studio footage.
