Indeed. I met them about fifteen years ago, on their bus before a show. Raul Malo was holding a newly released Tony Bennett Gold Disc and talking about it, excitedly, to anyone who would listen. I've forgotten which title it was but it was a Tony Bennett classic and Raul was like a kid with a new toy. I thought, "Now this is a country band to whom I can relate."

I absolutely love the Mavericks' music, and this new song is no exception. Can't wait for 9/25 to get here, so I can get the new album. With this, Aimee Mann, Pink, Green Day, Tift Merritt, Muse and Heart albums all coming out in a 15-day period, I will be in a very happy place!

According to the Big Machine Label Group, the label putting out "In Time," the release has been pushed to January 2013:

JUST IN: NEW RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED FOR MAVERICKS ALBUM In order to align with the launch of their 2013 IN TIME WORLD TOUR, The Mavericks' much-anticipated Valory debut album IN TIME will release in January 2013 instead of the previously announced date of September 25th. International release plans will also coincide with the January release. Fueled by the lead single "Born To Be Blue", this collection of music marks the reuniting of the Grammy, CMA & ACM award-winning band. Celebrating their 20th anniversary on the charts, The Mavericks will mount an aggressive tour next year which will kick off with street week stops in Miami (where they got their start), New York City, Los Angeles & Toronto. More info on the release date & tour is forthcoming.

 This is set for release on January 21.
